WORLD SERIES

Renault Sport Technologies and RPM Racing merged their championships (Formula Renault V6 and World Series) creating three new disciplines in the car racing world: World Series by Renault, Eurocup Megane Trophy Championship and Eurocup Formula 2000. Renault Sport Technologies has more than 40 years' experience in promoting sporting events. In addition to the experience of RPM Racing in the organisation of the World Series both of them have been converted into the perfect couple to organise such a leading high class and demanding championship.

The World Series is a useful and accessible project for all drivers wishing to enjoy an international display and since the creation of this project in 1998, various drivers have accessed directly to some Formula 1 roles, such as Marc Gené ( Minardi ), Fernando Alonso (Minardi), Justin Wilson (European Minardi F1), Ricardo Zonta (Toyota F1), Franck Montagny (RenaultF1), Heikki Kovalainen (Renault F1) Narain Karthikeyan (Jordan F1), Tiago Monteiro (Jordan F1), and most recently, Robert Kubiça (BMW Sauber F1)

Since its creation in 1998 and during its former editions, this thrilling single-seater high level car race championship drastically changed the pan European panorama of car races. Since then, more than 1,500,000 people have filled the circuit stands and 345,766,000 viewers have followed this emotional international car race on Television.
